The Chicago Funk Band resurrect a rare groove classic here. 'No Communication' was originally released in 1977 on North Carolina's obscure Witch's Brew label. Once a hidden gem among global funk and disco collectors, the track found new ears through The Numero Group's Eccentric Soul: The Linco Label compilation. In 2024, a fresh take caught the ears of Soulistic360's TZ and sparked a collaboration with Chicago stalwarts Ainsley Strong and Eric Johnson. Here joined by Tina Howell on vocals, Todd Swope on bass and Spike Rebel in the studio, the reworked version has been finished with aplomb by the great Rahaan's arrangement and mix.
