Forget The Clock timekeeper and Detroit house favourite Kyle Hall is back with another of his off-the-cuff delights. Everything Hall touches seems live an impromptu, as if he's just turned on his machines and started jamming. Even with as many jewels in his discography as Hall already has, 'MJ FLP' is special: it's got breezy drums and swooping pads with an aching female vocal dropped in to really ensure maximum feel-good vibes. 'Guyanese Deep' is just as alive and real with Seven Davis Jr-style drum loops and this time a male vocals buried deeper for more subtle vibes. 'Ash FLP' rides broken drums and brings sweet r&b feels to the fore with evocative female vocal and 'Keisha' is a prickly, bristling house number with soft, golden chords for late-night edge. A sublime EP.
