Together with The Exciting Sound Of The Machine & Wildman 2, the release of Just A Mermaids Dream marks the completion of a highly conceptual trilogy. Ex-Seers guitarist, Leigh Wildman, assures us that his next album will consist of 'regular' pop, but I'm not sure 'regular' is in his lexicon. As its title suggests, this new album has an ever-present sense of the fantastical - here is an invitation to a journey that takes in wide and spacious anonymous landscapes as easily as the interior of one particular tiny Shropshire cottage whose imaginary inhabitant might well be mulling over ancient texts, clay pipe in hand.
