      This excellent John Coltrane Quartet album was recorded in New Jersey on February 7, 1958 with two ex-members of Miles Davis's 1955/56 quintet, pianist Red Garland & bassist Paul Chambers plus drummer Art Taylor.
      'Soultrane' is one of Coltrane's finest albums prior to the 1959 'Giant Steps'.
