Originally released in 1977, and reissued here for the first time on 7” with the instrumental, this is modern soul classic from Jeff Perry. Original copies on Epic have exchange hands for over £100. Chicago’s Jeff Perry aka Jeffree is a highly skilled songwriter, musician and producer. He sang vocal sessions at Chess, Motown, produced at Hot Wax and for his brother Greg Perry’s group 100 Proof Aged In Soul. He worked with Jackie Wilson, Diana Ross, Norman Whitfield and maintained his own solo recordings from 1975 at Arista, then Epic and MCA. A modern soul classic!
