Gilles Petersons Brownswood Recordings present a new project from the acclaimed pianist, Elan Mehler.

While Mehler worked on his previos project "The After Suite", he stumbled across talented singer-songwriter, Adam McBride-Smith. Sincde then, they have discovered a rich vein of material while combining their compositional styles.

"Half Seas Over" is evidence of this, the two have written an astonishing batch of tender, rich, cinematic sounds, with moments of subtle revelation that draw on folk and rock music as well as jazz.
