'Foreign Affairs' is all soft-focus strings, Bacharach flourishes and glistening detail and the kind of track that feels equal parts cocktail bar and widescreen cinema. On the flip, 'Liaison' pushes further into exotica, its swooning string section and ghostly piano painting a sunset scene that's both romantic and slightly eerie.
