Something of a cross-generational collaboration here, as Cosmic Disco/Afro-Cosmic pioneer Danielle Baldelli joins forces with Bastard Jazz regular and genuine rising star Jolly Mare (real name Fabrizio Martina) for a four-track missive on the reliable International Feel imprint. The Italian twosome set their stall out with opener 'Dhol Parade', an analogue-rich dancefloor earworm that cannily combines elements of Baldelli's cosmic sound with nods to authentic, synth-powered 80s Italo-disco and electronics-splattered cosmic rock. 'Icari' is lightly darker and creepier, offering nods to 'Giallo' style horror soundtracks and more cosmic guitar licks, while 'Huldofolk' is a druggy, acid-clad chugger. As if to cleanse the palette, they finish with the jauntyItalo-disco meets cosmic funk flex of 'Viaggio Tascabile'.
