      Los Wembler's de Iquitos have been central to Amazonian cumbia since the late 60s, when the Sanchez brothers first plugged guitars into the heat of Peru's jungle capital. Their sound carried the pulse of Iquitos far beyond the Amazon and shaped a style that spread worldwide. This set draws from their peak 70s recordings when they cut raw, mesmeric tracks like 'Sonido amazonico' and 'La danza del petrolero', alongside sweeter moments such as 'Once Upon A Time' and 'Love Me Forever'. These songs capture the spark of a family band inventing a sound that still fuels today's cumbia revival.
