Backing singer to Bob Marley & The Wailers, Judy Mowatt came into her on second LP, originally on Jamaican label, Ashandan from 1980. Entirely produced by Mowatt herself, this is considered to be the first reggae record where a female is acting as her own producer. Check the killer title track!
