For the latest missive on their archival RSS series, Rush Hour has an unearthed a genuine lost gem - a previously promo-only affair written and recorded by session musician-turned-producer Kevan Adrian Frost in the early 1990s. Rediscovered by Chicagoan digger Mark Gursane last year, the British-based Nigerian artist's sole solo single is finally getting a proper release. Frost's original mix - a joyous mix of rubbery, all-action house-not-house grooves, infectious vocals and colourful synth-pop-goes-to-the-club colour - resides on side A, with Grusane's fresh dub mix on the flip. Initially a personal re-edit, it wraps key elements of Frost's vocals (and his backing singers' urgent call outs) while focusing more on the piano-splattered, post-boogie-meets-early house backing track. It's simply sublime.
