This landmark recording is presented in a limited turquoise and cream white split colored pressing exclusively for RSD 2021. The music world lost a true pioneer in September of 2020 with the passing of Toots Hibbert. His influence on reggae cannot be understated, he was not only a key figure in the development of the genre, he was also among the first to utilize the word in a song title which lead to the popularization of the very term reggae. Funky Kingston features "Pressure Drop", named by Rolling Stone as one of the 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time. This international hit influenced (and was covered by) The Clash, The Specials, The Selecter and more. To celebrate Toots’ lifetime of accomplishments and achievements Get On Down presents Funky Kingston in a special one-time only turquoise & cream white split colored pressing.
