Love Sex And The Zodiac is one of the great jazz saxophonist's later albums. After playing on Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue, he became one of the most influential band-leaders, and, in collaboration with producer David Axelrod, made some astounding concept albums such as Country Preacher, The Soul Of The Bible and this one.
Using his regular band, which included his brother Nat and George Duke, the album is built on a solid soul jazz groove, over which narrator Rick Holmes intones the sexual needs of the signs of the Zodiac.
