This release is a very special collaboration between the legendary Al Campbell and the great Bass Culture Players, put together and brought to the world by Seafront International.Live instruments played as good as they were some fifty years ago in Jamaican studios, and mixed in analogue by the producer and engineer Santi Mijarra aka Puppa Shan make this reggae music sound authentic but fresh and more than relevant in the 21st century.Al Campbell, the living legend of roots and dancehall reggae, is often called as one of the best to ever do it. His career started in the late 60’s and goes strong still, establishing him on the top of reggae business for almost six decades.Santi Mijarra and Bass Culture Players are involved in reggae culture since early 2000’s. Experimenting with styles and techniques throughout the years, today’s focus is production of live recorded roots reggae – ‘organic music’ as they call it.
