RECORD COLLECTOR REVIEW:
'By the end of Queen Dem all RC wanted to do was investigate the world of maverick global female producers, MCs and singers much, much further. Looking at some of the fiercest and most creative artists to have emerged in recent years, there is dancehall (Warrior Queen's Armageddon), drill (East London's TeeZandos's Lioness) and beautiful, old school, swooning R&B (Train Of Love by LA's Nira). Some of the fleeting vignettes entice the most - Minneapolis' Dizzy Fae's Solo feels much longer (in a good way) than it's 1:52, as does the metallic diss of New York Ghanaian Vanessa the Finessa's minute-and-a-half of Bad Bitch Steppin'. All tracks are united in their passion and integrity.
Hats off to Soul Jazz again for continuing to engage and enthral with their genre trawls' Record Collector ****
