Hadley Caliman Projecting & Celebration

Two albums from Hadley Caliman (tenor sax & flute) on the Catalyst label issued in 1976/77; both quartet outings. Though his first record date as a soloist was in 1963 it was a while before his talents were finally recognised. These recordings illustrate perfectly his vibrant and virile playing which, despite echoes of Coltrane, is very much his own.
