"Black Cinderella" was first engineered in Studio 1 where Sid was the resident sound engineer and composer. This poem written by Jimmy Rodway was a difficult idea to accept in the 70's when Cinderella was always portrayed as a white female while women of color in most cases were the help. The song was meant to empower the black women of the time to think of themselves in this fantasy character desired by a prince.
