Another storied addition to Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald's Chain Reaction label, and a record whose legend is told in as hushed tones as it ever was, over a quarter of a century on from its first release. Landlocked was the only album ever to surface from dub techno visionists Edward George, Anna Piva and Trevor Mathison, amid a haze of EP-form Chain Reaction action between 1998 and 03. The record makes implicit reference to those EPs in name, sometimes even reusing their contents ('Black Angel'), and brings generously panned bioscapes ('Red Angel'), twinkly downturns ('Dusk'), and even makes a few dub-dancehall demands on the listener ('Sethos').
