California-born, Taiwan-raised Daniel Wang is a man of many different sounds. His Morning Kids project focused on loopy disco, funk and jazz with a dusty analogue realness that harked back to the roots of all those scenes and soundtracks of legendary parties across New York in the 70s. Now it's back with a remastered repress of the 1996 Balihu classic, 'In A Golden Haze'. Originally self-released on his own label, the EP captures Wang's DIY ethos, blending bold samples with his own instrumentation to create a shimmering, disco-punk hybrid. Each track carries the charm of a homegrown experiment yet hits with the precision of a seasoned producer. There is a reason this one has been long sought after by collectors.
