Henry Simms was a largely unknown reggae singer and producer from Jamaica in the 1970s. Simms spent much of his time at Idlers Rest in Kingston, a popular gathering spot for local musicians and artists. It was here that he forged friendships with other musicians, and, inspired by their work, he ventured into music production despite limited resources. Simms founded the label Moon Sun Stars, a venture born out of rapidly evolving music industry that created space for smaller, independent producers who like Simms seized their opportunity to carve their own path. One of the most notable releases on Simms' Moon Sun Stars label was the track "Live In Love," a deeply resonant tune that, despite its quality, remained largely unnoticed due to limited distribution. Simms, unable to fund large-scale distribution, pressed only a small number of copies, but the track has since become a hidden gem until this recent revival. "Zion children we no come here fe war".
