This must-check "45" from Panorama Records digs deep into the bulging back catalogue of one of South Africa's black soul and funk stars of the 1970s, Jacob Radebe AKA Mpharanyana. What we get is two cuts recorded in 1979 before his untimely and tragic death, each recorded with a different backing band. The Cannibals feature on A-side 'Get Down', an infectious chunk of Rhodes-heavy South African disco-funk fusion that's as heavy and floor-friendly as it is joyous and celebratory. Radebe explores a more Afro-funk influenced peak-time sound, with help from the Peddlars, on equally impressive B-side 'Disco'.
