Veteran British producer Vince Watson is best known for his Detroit-inspired techno missives and analogue-rich deep house. Even so, his vast catalogue contains numerous must check surprises, including a 2015 outing on Osunlade's spiritual deep house imprint, Yoruba. Here, he revisits the title track from that EP, 'Eminesence', offering a deliciously sun-splashed blend of rubbery synth-bass, live percussion-laden beats, rising piano motifs and gorgeous synth-strings. On the flip the Scottish artist revisits another vintage catalogue cut, 2012's 'Reach For The Sun', delivering a 'floor mix' that re-casts it as a melody-rich, electric piano-spattered chunk of deep house spirituality. Soul-enriching music with barely a vocal in sight.
