Living between San Fran and DC, Diggs Duke is firmly cemented in the exciting soul & jazz scene coming out of the US. Rooted in jazz, Diggs Duke arrangements eschew traditional song structure for a looser groove-based aesthetic, punctuated with short bursts of Dwele-esque vocals.

It takes a certain kind of musical talent to fit such a wealth of ideas into this small a space without things feeling cramped. This new single sees him doing just that: both sides of the record show off a gorgeous musicality that ties together its many constituent parts.

The sparse arrangement of 'He Wants To Live Like You' finds all kind of beautiful tension in the gaps, while 'Water For Sale' on the flip beds in hip hop bounce while paying dues to lovelorn R&B. The mainstay of both is Diggs' piano, a reminder of his shining talent as a musician.
