Record Store Day 2015 Release. White vinyl - mono mix. 'The Book of Taliesyn' is the second studio album by Deep Purple, recorded only three months after 'Shades of Deep Purple' and originally released in October 1968, just before their first US tour. The structure of the album is similar to that of their debut, with four original songs and three rearranged covers; including a unique version of 'River Deep Mountain High'. The music style is a mix of psychedelic rock, progressive rock and hard rock, with several inserts of classical music arranged by the band's keyboard player Jon Lord. This super rare mono mix on white vinyl is on the Harvest label, audio is cut from the high resolution transfer of the original analogue master tape that has been used in the Hard Road Mark 1 CD box set.
