First time on CD for this, the debut album from Gospel/Soul singer D J Rogers.

Originally released in 1973, this session was recorded in L.A and features Maxayn and Lalomie Washburn on background vocals and a band including Andre Lewis, Marlo Henderson and Bobby Watson. ‘Listen To The Message’, ‘Take Time’, ‘Celebration’ and the sampled ‘Bail Out’ have a Sly Stone semi-funky feel to them. The bluesier soul ‘Where There’s A Will’ and ballad ‘It’s All Over’ allow us to hear the clarity of DJ Rogers' great, deep, gospel tinged soulful voice.
