If you record under the name Greg Float and put out albums with titles like Blobs, you're never going to be making 'normal' music. More so, you'd better be making the kind of hallucinatory wet dreams that have you picturing what it might be like to draw and then climb into a bubble bath, only for those bubbles to lift you out of the tub, through the nearest window, up and away over the town and countryside before floating back off into the cosmos. There's a beautiful sense of safety to the arrangements here. Relaxing, meditative but far from abstract ambient, this is jazz beamed in straight from space, as universally enthralling as it is utterly unique. A combination that is harder to crack than trying to come up with coherent ways to describe and define what's here. Save yourself the pain of putting up with any more of this ramble, then - hit play and you'll get it.
