Stonesthrow offshoot label Now-Again have released this mighty instrumental funk album from The Whitefield Brothers!!!!

Now-Again Records have lovingly brought this beautiful piece of work back to life after being released on a limited press way back in 1998 and has since been reaching silly money on ebay. The Whitefield Brothers are Jay and Max Whitefield, originally from Munich these talented chaps travelled to New York over ten years ago record this fantastic album.

'In The Raw' is a wicked psychedelic funk masterpiece drenched in warm, hypnotic african beats and rhythms. Sounding like a jam between The Meters, Fela Kuti, Antibalas and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, the music is as modern as it is grounded in the great musical traditions that have influenced it.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
