A decade has passed since Hamburg-based house producer Solomun decided to launch the Diynamic label. To mark the occasion, he's put together a two-disc compilation containing 13 previously unheard tunes from friends and label regulars. While there's naturally plenty of atmospheric, gently melodious tech-house present (see Solomun's own "Let It Out", featuring the Tom Yorke style vocals of Liu Bei, plus undeniably club-ready cuts from HOSH, Stimming, Lehar and Magdelana), many of the most arresting tracks steer clear of obvious dancefloor thrills. Check, for example, the neo-classical movements of Johannes Brecht, the hypnotic synthesizer kosmiche of Kollektiv Turmstrasse, and the dub-wise wooziness of Adriatique.
