Boris Werner, Aardvarck, San Proper and Sotu The Traveller squeeze some prime juice out of Tom Trago's 'Voyage Direct' set. For us, it's all about the Aardvarck mix of 'On The Side', combining Soundstream-style string edits with his ruffed-up kicks to massacre the 'floor, but the rest of the EP ain't too shabby either. Boris Werner gives a Latin-infected house mix of 'Lost In The Streets Of NY' and San Proper's remix of 'Use Me' just screams anthemic potential with disco looping edits, acidic synthbass and a bucking temperament inherited from Shake or Claude Young Detroit legacy. Finally, Sotu The Traveller brings up the rear with a crafty mix of the title track voyaging from half-tempo synthfunk to disco and back again. Really killer twelve - especially for the Aardvarck!!!
