Sounds scraped from the odd recesses of electronic music - Polysick serves up some super blends of early, Library electronics, re-wiring the melodies and analogue sound-design of pioneering engineer-musicians & soundtrack artists.
Developed with a gentle edge of electro-funk running through most of the tracks, plus an afro-cuban percussion slant to offset the Library jazz of 'Totem', a computer-game groove on 'Lost Holidays', a strong Detroit vibe for the killer 'Transpelagic', & a darker, Shackleton-friendly bass sound on 'Tic-Tac-Toe'. As to be expected for a guy championed by Legowelt and 100% Silk/NNF camps, this is a strong debut album proper.
If you ever wanted something to help join the dots between your Bruton music, your first computer's bundled sound-effects, and your Landcruising-era Carl Craig....
